My husband and I are going on the Walking the Somme in September. On the last afternoon there is an optional trip to The Wellington Quarries in Arras. However, we went there last year as part of the All Quiet on the Western Front and would prefer to return to the Historial museum at Peronne which we feel needed more time. Can anybody tell me whether it would be possible for us to do this on our own after the walk in the morning? If so, how would we go about it? Thanks.

I would be pleased to receive reports of the new TGV holidays via Eurostar and TGV to various parts of Europe. I am thinking of doing one next year and would welcome recommendations and/or warnings.

I like to visit gardens and places of historical interest. I am a reasonably active OAP used to travelling alone but like easy travelling arrangements.

I am going to Lake Como this year and was disappointed that it doesn't have Silver Service because I found that service excellent when I went to Lake Garda last year.
