Atlanta airport is so big it has it's own underground railway system. From the international arrivals terminal to the main terminal building is 1½ miles and takes 10 minutes on the train. Passengers also have to retrieve their luggage off two carousels, one at the arrivals terminal and again at the main terminal building. It can all be a bit confusing but the staff were very helpful. It is a little easier leaving but you still have the thorough security screening to go through.

The tour itself was brilliant, somewhat hectic but no more than we expected. Margrit our Tour Manager was friendly, efficient and thoughtful with an infectious laugh !! Glenn our driver was a true professional who like Margrit often went beyond the call of duty to see that we had a great time.

We listened to jazz on Bourbon St. cruised the Mississippi on the dinner/jazz excursion in New Orleans. We listened to the blues on Beale St. in Memphis, toured Elvis Presley's Graceland, visited the legendary Sam Phillips Sun Studio, birthplace of rock 'n' roll, and saw Elvis' birthplace in Tupelo.

Then came country music on Broadway, Nashville, RCA's Studio B visit, (most of my record collection was recorded here !) the Country Music Hall of Fame and Opryland, unbelievable !!

This tour is certainly a trip down memory lane and I still can't believe what we saw and did in such a short time leaving treasured memories and a longing to do it all again.
