Hi, I'm normally a battlefields tourist but I thought it wise to take my good lady wife somewhere different to celebrate our wedding anniversary after Gallipoli two years ago and The Dambusters Raid last year.

Looking forward to this trip myself and I look forward to meeting any fellow forum members. I have always found battlefield groups to be good company who quickly become sociable with each other so I hope the same applies to this trip.

See you at the interchange.

I always sprinkle some salt & pepper on my head before setting off on a trip - I like to think I'm a seasoned traveller.

Hi Old Gold

Have just joined this forum, we are also going to Bruges but we are going in July next year. We have been before but it was very cold and we vowed to return one day when the weather was better, so next year it will be! My husband enjoys the battlefield tours, its not for me but we are going to Bruges for my birthday. Will be interested to hear how you get on,

To travel is to broaden your mind
